APOLLO BEACH — The seventh edition of the Florida Birding and Nature Festival is set for Oct. 12-15 at the Suncoast Youth Conservation Center, 6650 Dickman Road. The festival coincides with the peak of fall migration of birds through Central Florida. You may not see wild flamingos on any of the field trips, but you can search for them with some of the best birders in the country. Last year, festival birders documented more than 180 species. There are field trips all four days, three days of seminars, boat excursions and a nature expo.
