Hillsborough and Pasco counties have both seen their per capita property tax revenue increase by over 104% in the last 10 years, according to a new county-level report from the Florida Tax Watch. That puts them in the top 10 among all Florida counties. Manatee County ranked No. 4 with a 117% growth rate, Polk County came in at No. 11 with a 101.5% increase, and Pinellas County was No. 24 at 80.7%. Property taxes, on average, account for about 26.6% of county revenue and 13.1% of city revenue in Florida, according to the nonpartisan Florida Tax Watch.
