Elected officials and housing advocates gathered at the 2023 Homes for Pinellas Summit last week to launch the new countywide Housing Action Plan. The event was held at the Central Park Performing Arts Center on April 28, and more than 120 people attended. This was the first countywide event of its kind to take place in person — there was a virtual Homes for Pinellas Summit in 2020. During the event, the new Housing Action Plan was presented by Pinellas County and Forward Pinellas. Several local governments that had signed onto the Advantage Pinellas Housing Compact were in attendance for the event, and attendees discussed how to enact the new plan.
